Osman Qaiyum, MD

Internal medicine physician and founder of Javid Medicine. Eight years of practice, most of them caring for hospitalized adults. Licensed in Virginia, Maryland, West Virginia, Indiana, and Ohio.

Background

Dr. Qaiyum has practiced internal medicine for eight years. Most of that time he has worked as a hospitalist, the physician who manages adults admitted to the hospital, at hospitals across Maryland and Virginia: the University of Maryland Capital Region Medical Center, where his role combined patient care with teaching resident physicians, Anne Arundel Medical Center, Sibley Memorial Hospital (Johns Hopkins Medicine), Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center, Holy Cross Hospitals in Germantown and Silver Spring, and Fauquier Hospital.

He has also served as interim hospitalist medical director at Rappahannock General Hospital, as medical director of a CLIA-certified laboratory, and as an outpatient internist with Privia Medical Group, where he was a member of Privia’s National Clinical IT Advisory Council.

Why he started Javid Medicine

Hospital medicine shows you the end of a long story: the heart attack that built for a decade, the diabetes no one had time to catch. Javid Medicine is built for the beginning of that story, with unhurried primary care, real attention to metabolic, hormonal, and mental health, and one physician who knows you well enough to act early.
